The Saturday Mythology (Shaniwaar being the day of Lord Shani Dev)


According to the Indian Mythology, Saturday is booked for the Lord Shani i.e. the people who believe on the planetary power do the worship of Lord Shani to remove all the difficulties of their life. Most of the Indians believes that Shani is the king of planet and the planetary effects on human life depends on his nature and decision. So, to keep the king happy they donate oil on Saturday and worship Lord Shani by offering black things (being black favourite colour) to him like black clothes, black pulses and iron nails etc.

Shri Saraswati

Shri Saraswati is a the goddess of education, talent and art. She is one of the most worshiped goddess in Hindu Religion. Its being written in the granth that if someone wants to succeed in their educational phase then worshiping Maa Saraswati is very important.
The day which is celebrated as the day of Lord Saraswati is the "Basant Panchmi". This is the festival which comes in the start of each year, mainly occurs in the month of February.
The most liked colour by Maa Saraswati is the white colour. If we watch the statue or photo of Lord Saraswati then we can see her in white cloths, with a white duck and white lotus in one hand with a Granth on the other. She is fond of playing Veena.
Students pray her for their long lasting education and success in their Results.

Lord Ganpati

As per Indian tradition Lord Ganpati has the right of being worshipped first before worshipping any God or starting new Project or Assignment.
Its a truth that if someone takes the name of Ganpati before doing any hard work, that hard work will be completed without any hurdles like a simple Task. First worship right of Lord Ganpati makes him very important amongst the other God and Goddess.

The visual look of Ganpati is very different from the other Gods as he has the body of human being but the head of Ganpati is like the head of a Elephant, that's why he is also known as Gajraj.
